“You can’t get too much winter in the winter.” – Robert Frost
I respectfully disagree, Mr. Frost. If he had survived this latest winter in Minnesota, he would most certainly be changing his statement. We are 29 days from the first day of spring and are finally (read: FINALLY!) seeing the light at the end of this dark and very cold tunnel.
This time of year, hardy Minnesotans start planning ahead for the light of spring and all that it brings, including:
- tulips peaking up through the snow
- sunshine reflecting off the open lake
- fishing in flip-flops and a stocking cap
Of course, next week we dip back into colder weather. But once we’ve seen the light, we get excited about all that’s coming. And the colder days tend to be more productive.
If you’re seeing the light and are looking to finish up some indoor projects before spring arrives, consider enrolling with Distance Minnesota. We are currently taking applications and registering students for summer and fall semesters. Set your sights on achieving a goal or entering a new career. You have plenty of time before spring has officially sprung to complete an admissions checklist.
One more thing you won’t have to worry about while you’re lakeside this summer.
