Failing to Plan is Planning to Fail…

Was that a deadline I just passed on the information superhighway?

Now that I’m well over midway through my online courses this semester; I need to remind myself to stay focused on the details. At the beginning of every week, in my notebook, I make a list of upcoming assignments, posts and/or tests due for the week.  I look at what I have going on personally for the week and come up with a schedule to accomplish the items on, or before (preferably before) the deadline. I also look to see if there are any big items coming up in the following two to three weeks that I need to start on or continue with this week (book reports, short papers,…etc.)

Of course, it’s all great and everything that I have a plan for the week but we all know how life loves to throw us curve balls.  Whenever we have a plan in place it’s inevitable that something seems to pop up that will make it difficult to meet our self-imposed deadlines. That is why it’s always good to build in some spare time into your schedule. With deer hunting coming up I’m going to have a busy couple of weeks, after all, like Jack Nicholson said in the movie “The Shining”, “All work and no play makes Jack (Tom) a dull boy.”

Balance is key!

Good luck to all finishing out the semester strong.
