Balancing act…

“Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance, order, rhythm and harmony.” – Thomas Merton

Mr. Merton has the right idea, but “balance, order, rhythm and harmony” are awfully hard to strike on a regular basis. Especially if you’re a Distance Minnesota student who is taking courses, working full time and juggling responsibilities at home.

wordleWe know many of our online learners are striving to find some kind of balance, usually hoping a college degree will be part of that long-term solution. And while it could definitely help, sometimes the individuals who count on you (your kids, your grandma or even your cat) won’t value your degree as much as you do.

In those cases, you might need some tools to help you manage your time and money, motivate you to shop smart or get fit and generally stay organized. We’ve got you covered with this list of FREE resources available on the web or your smart devices:

Tools and apps for balancing school, work & life

Watch the list to see new tools added and if you have suggestions, let us know. If the tools listed aren’t enough, know that online support is available seven days a week at Distance Minnesota!

Reminder: Fall courses begin Monday, August 26!
